White Elephants at Hunter Water

May 12th, 2008 by admin | 0

Friday May 16 at 12 noon – Save the Williams River Coalition is meeting outside Hunter Water (Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle). All welcome.

Objective is to gain publicity and to show that there is mounting opposition to the Tillegra Dam proposal.

The day marks the closing date for public submissions to Hunter Water’s H250 water plan. The plan is a sham, a justification for the Tillegra Dam proposal, not a proper water planning document that looks at all possible options.

If you have the time and inclination please join us to show your dissatisfaction at the way Hunter Water is going about this.

We will have a large white elephant as a symbol of the dam.
